'El Sol Verde' (which means the green sun) is a combination of a lodge and a campground, located 15 km. Northeast of Liberia, close to the entrance of National Park Rincón de la Vieja. This beautiful place, at the boundary of the authentic little village Curubandé, is a nice place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. It also offers a chance to meet the Ticos (inhabitants of Costa Rica) in their daily life. |

| The nice lodge has one room with a double bed, one with two single beds and one with a double and a bunk bed. All rooms have a private bathroom with a hot shower and are equipped with a fan. You could also give your stay a more adventurous touch by spending the night in a tent on the campgrond. |

| It is only a 8km. drive to the entrance of National Park Rincón de la Vieja. 'El Sol Verde' therefore is a good starting point to make excursions to this magnificent piece of nature. You can climb the volcano Rincón de la Vieja, or swim in the nearby waterfall. Taking a Canopy-tour, go rafting, horsebackriding, mountain biking or hiking.
