EL SOL VERDE Lodge & Campground

LOCATION

‘El Sol Verde’ Lodge & Campground is located at a 30 minutes drive from the international airport of Liberia. From the airport of San Jose it takes a four hour drive to reach us.

Own transportation

Driving on the Interstate 1 (Panamerican) from southern direction, when arriving in Liberia, go straight ahead at the crossing with traffic lights (in the direction of Peñas Blancas). You will pass a gas station and the 'Burger King' on your left hand [photo1]. Follow this road for another 5 km, then turn right at the Curubandé and Rincón de la Vieja sign [photo2]. From this point on you will also see the ‘El Sol Verde’ signs [photo 3]. Mind the green sun! After about a 10km drive on the dirt road you enter the village of Curubandé. Turn right at the ‘El Sol Verde’ sign. Another 200mts and you are at your destination!

Public transportation

The bus heading to Curubandé goes three times a day from the Liberian bus station. Times of departure are 06:40h, 12:00h and 17:00h. Get off the bus in the center of Curubandé (where the church is). From the church you walk back 75mts. in the direction the bus came from. Follow the ‘El Sol Verde’ signs from here. You are close now!
